Valiona and Theralion 10-man Normal

Valiona and Theralion or the Double Dragon is the second boss encounter in the Bastion of Twilight raid.

Boss Fight
The Pull
Take note of the positions of range classes in the pull. There's a 'dot' floor design marking where they stand (we have 6 including the healers here). These markings are 11 yds apart from one another and standing at these positions will avoid unnecessary aoe dmg. The melee dps takes position at one side of the Drake and the other melee on the opposite side. The 2nd tank take position at the tail. There is no tail swipes for both drakes and this will be the position the stack up for 'Blackout'. Take note that even though it might not be necessary to use 2 tanks, we went with this setup anyway for cd rotations and contingency.

Power Aura Settings
a) For everyone
Activation by: Debuff
Debuff name: Blackout
Sound attachment when started: Yes
Sound attachment when ended: Yes
Tick Box:
1. Raid/Party or Self
2. Any
Usage: When u hear the warning for this setting is up, start stacking up (except active tank), with the 2nd tank at the tail. Quickly dispell the debuff once everyone is at the stack and move out back to positions once u hear the ending sound alert. It's useful to put classes that can move faster (mage, warlock) at the furthest position.

Power Aura Settings
b) For everyone
Activation by: Spell Alert
Spell name: Devouring Flames
Sound attachment when started: Yes
Texture: Recommended
Tick Box:
1. Enemy Target
2. Focus (set Valiona as your focus target)
Usage: When u hear the warning for this setting, check the direction she's facing and quickly move out to the opposite side as she will cast a wide frontal cone aoe fire breath. The setting also works for H-Grim Batol

Dazzling Destruction
No power aura setting is required as the whirl is very easy to identified. U need to make sure that u move out of the whirl asap as a meteor is about to land there. Failure to move away will result in u being transported into the Twilight Zone. If u got ported there, do not panic, just avoid the bright little stars filling up the zone and take the portal to go back to the battle area once u see it. The stars move at a very slow pace. Valiona might cast 'Blackout' during this phase of which the raid needs to stack accordingly for dispell. There's no cleave or frontal cone attack here, tank's movement is not so much a concern. During this phase also, the ranges should start moving towards the opposite side of the middle circle as that's where they will start stacking when Theralion is active.

Phase transition and positioning for Theralion
The 2nd tank will take over tanking duty for this phase. Split the raid into 3 stacks, the 2nd tank on his own, melees forming a stack and ranges forming a stack. This is to avoid excessive aoe dmg during this phase. Range will need to keep moving towards one direction during the phase avoiding the void zone. The player with the Engulfing Magic debuff will need to move out of the stack asap.

Power Aura Settings
b) For everyone
Activation by: Debuff
Spell name: Engulfing Magic
Sound attachment when started: Yes
Sound attachment when ended: Yes
Texture: Recommended
Usage: The moment this debuff is active, u need to move out from the stack asap as you will be dealing aoe dmg to the rest with any active hot or dot from u. The debuff however does not deals any damage to you. Try not to run away too far as you will need to move back to the stack asap once the debuff is gone.

Theralion phase end and repositioning for Valiona
Towards the end of Theralion's phase, Valiona will cast a straight line flame breath. The raid need to avoid getting hit by these or else will be ported to the Twilight Zone area (check Dazzling Destruction for Twilight Zone description). Player with Engulfing Magic during this phase will need to make sure there's no one nearby. There's NO need to STACK during this phase anymore and it's better to keep the ranges spread. Try not to be near any of the raid position for Valiona to avoid any void zone spawning there when u switch target later on.

Repeat the steps.

Magmaw 10 - Normal Mode

Raid: Blackwing Descent

Magmaw is on the left side after entering Blackwing Descent. There are 2 sets of trash to clear before u engage the boss.

Trash 1: Fairly simple tank & spank, 2nd tank taunt once the 1st tank has debuff.

Trash 2: Try to kill both adds at the same time. Throughout the fight both adds will keep switching target and charges the player standing the furthest away. Range dpses and healers need to stay at a safe distance somewhere in between of the two tanks as they both has a rather nasty aoe dmg.

Boss Fight
Power Aura Settings
a) For Everyone
Activation by: Debuff
Debuff Name: Mangle
Sound attachment: Yes
Tick Box:
1. Raid/Party or Self
2. 10-man & 25-man raid (otherwise u'll keep seeing/hearing the warning when u pvp)
3. Any
Usage for tanks: Immediately after the active tank has this debuff, Magmaw will grab him up. The 2nd tank must taunt immediately as the aggro table for the 1st tank is reset while being grabbed. This is to avoid Magmaw one-shoting any other player after he gets back to upright position.
Usage for everyone else: Magmaw will also target 1 side of the room immediately after he grabs the tank. When u hear the warning for this setup, be ready to change side if required.

b) For Range DPS & the person standing outside of melee range.
Activation by: Spell Alert
Spell Name: Pillar of Flame
Sound attachment: Yes
Tick Box:
1. Enemy Target
2. Focus (set Magmaw as your focus target)
Usage: When u hear the warning, get ready to dps the worms. The person standing outside of melee range can start moving away as well.
